Using Barracuda Spam Filter
You will receive the below email.
1.) Click on the first link to setup your password
2.) Click on the second link to log into the portal (tip- you can save this to your internet favorites)
You may enter any password on the screen below (we recommend 8 characters, with at least one number, one upper case, and one lower case)
Your screen will default to showing you the last 2 days of QUARANTINED messages. You can use the pulldowns to change the number of days or the “message filter”. If you select “All” from the pulldown, you will see all emails sent to you:
Reason = “Sender Policies” means that you or IT has blocked the email.
If you click on ADVANCED SEARCH you can search by all the fields below, some with pulldowns. Popular searches are “subject” search and “from” search
Before delivering any email from Barracuda keep in mind that it was in your Spam filter because it was determined to be suspicious. It may seem legit to the end user, when in reality it is a spoofed email address or has a virus attached.
99% of messages caught in Barracuda are legitimate spam items, please check the email for bad grammar, spelling errors, the FROM field, etc... Do not hesitate to email the helpdesk if there is ANY question about its legitimacy. You must include the senders email address, the time it was sent and the subject line. IT will, at that time, whitelist or block the email address.

We have setup email notifications that will alert you at 8 am, 11 am, 2 pm and 4pm of any emails caught by Barracuda. You can “deliver” or “whitelist” directly from the email. When you press “whitelist”, the email will be delivered and whitelisted. If you only select “deliver”, the senders email address will not be whitelisted.
There are MANY scammers sending “quarantine notifications” but if they don’t look like this and/or are located IN your Barracuda Spam filter, they are not legit. Only the emails that look like this are legit.
