On the Ribbon click 'Tools'

Click the drop down arrow for 'System Preferences', then click 'Hardware'

Set 'Scale Port' to 'USB'

Set 'Scale Type' to the second (middle) option

Click the 'Test Scale' button

You should see 'Connect Status: Connected' and 'Weight Processed'
