How to change printer defaults for one sided and black/white printing

1-sided/ 2-sided printing
Click the start button in the bottom left corner of your screen
Click Settings (the gear icon)
Click Devices
On the left side of the screen click Printers & scanners
click on your printer, then click Manage
Click Printing preferences
Under 1 sided/2sided/Booklet Printing change the drop down box to 2-sided Printing. Click Apply then OK.
Color / Black and White
Click the start button in the bottom left corner of your screen
Click Settings (the gear icon)
Click Devices
On the left side of the screen click Printers & scanners
click on your printer, then click Manage
Click Printing preferences
This will display the Printing Preferences screen. Towards the bottom you should see a dropdown box for ‘Color Mode’. Click this dropdown and set it to Black and White
